WHO IS ADDIE?

Dr. Addie Angelov is the owner and operator of ADS Education. Dr. Angelov has a BA in Elementary and Special Education from Marian University, an MS in Effective Teaching and Emotional Behaviors of Children from Butler University, and a Ph.D. in Special Education and Multicultural Education from Indiana University, Bloomington. Dr. Angelov began her career as a special education teacher and varsity coach in Speedway, Indiana. She went on to earn a Leadership Training Fellowship from Indiana University, Bloomington. For 10 years, Addie served as Associate Professor of Special Education & Multicultural Education and Institutional Review Board Chair at the University of Indianapolis, earning tenure in 2011. Additionally, Dr. Angelov served as Director of Research for the Indiana Department of Education, where she wrote Indiana’s Quality Counts grant, Indiana's largest federal education award in state history.

Dr. Angelov has completed the Early Career Seminar from the American Educational Research Association, in Washington DC, the High Potential Leaders Program at Harvard Business School in Cambridge, MA, the National Leadership Mentor Program at Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research in Boston, MA, Leadership Training from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative at the Biomedical Research Alliance of New York, and the Legislative and National SPA Evaluator Training at the Council for Exceptional Children in Arlington, VA. Dr. Angelov has received numerous awards including the Golden Apple Award, MSD of Wayne Township's MG Raby Excellence in Service Award, Indiana CEC’s Outstanding Child Advocate Award, Marian University’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award, AILACTE’s Scholar Award, and the YWCA’s Woman of Achievement Award. Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Angelov has educated more than 1,500 teachers, written 42 peer reviewed research articles & 3 books, and brought in more than $65 million in grants.
